I have found the first ever month of 2014 to be pretty good actually! As the amazing January sales have been around I have discovered lots of new products and items (with the downfall of my bank balance) which I can proudly say make my favorites list for this month. I have never made a favorites before so I am apologizing now if it is really bad.. However, let's get started!

Film- Despicable Me 2
This minion-tastic film first grabbed my attention in summer 2013 as I went to this this film with a group of my closest friends for my birthday back in June and even when I attached it for the first time, I fell in love! As I already was hooked on the little minions braces from the first Despicable me it was a priority to see the second film and it definitely did not disappoint! I laughed all the way through the film and the little minions really did steal my heart! Even though this film was released back in the summer of last year, I received the DVD and a little minion toy for Christmas and I haven't stopped watching this film since, cuddled up with little Dave the minion! So this film is a must see for anyone, any age!
Music- Lorde
Over this past month I have become hooked onto the artist Lorde. Her beautifully written indie-sounding album 'Pure Heroine' shows of all of her music talents and her song writing skills perfectly. My favorite songs on the album are Tennis Court, Royals and Buzzcut Season- they have been constantly on repeat for the last month and I think my parents are getting annoyed...
Fashion - Tartan
Yep, I have fallen in love with tartan! Anything from the classic tartan scarf to the daring tartan dress I love! I think the overall pattern is beautiful and can complement anyone. I have been wearing my tartan dress (which I purchased from Primark- it's green and purple tartan print) a lot with my Dr Marten boots as I think this outfit looks classy, yet has a rocker tone to it which is sort of my style. I also haven't stopped wearing my tartan scarfs for when the weather has been rather chilly!
Make-up - Revlon Chubby Sticks
In January I discovered the Revlon Chubby Sticks lipstick. Even though these have been on the market for quite some time I have never really appealed to them however, I branched put and firstly purchased the shade 'Honey' for my mum and after looking at this product for quite some time in my mums make-up draw I went out and treated myself to the shades 'Cherish' and 'Rendezvous' and never looked back! The colours are perfectly pigmented and very soft when applying them to the lips. I have also found that they pretty much stay on all day without having to re-apply them (which is always a bonus!) So overall, I definitely recommend this product as the colours are beautiful and they are the best lipsticks I have ever brought!
Accessory- Hair clips
I always seem to have those days where I have no idea what to do with my hair but my bulldog hair clips have come to the rescue! I have brought packets and packets of these wonder clips over this month as they come in all different sizes, colours and patterns, so I might as well get them all;) I usually pull two bits of my hair back and secure them with the clips, or I braid little bits of my hair and do the same. I think they are a really cute way to accessorise your hair when it's not doing what it's being told! I have purchased my clips from New look and Primark.
Item Brought- Topshop Playsuit
When I brought this item I could of cried with happiness. This is because I have been searching and searching for this playsuit in various Topshop stores and online for over six months and when I saw it staring at me ,with its beautiful blue eyes, on the sale rail at the Topshop store in Cheltenham I could of cried there and then. It was my size and in the sale for only £30, I obviously couldn't resist! I think the light blue colour is beautiful and the high necked lace detailing is made too perfection! This stunning playsuit has been worn by celebrities such as Mollie King and Sam Farries, they have brilliant style in my opinion!
Perfume - One Direction, Our Moment
I received this perfume for Christmas and I have not gone a day without wearing it! Even though my love for One Direction (especially the gorgeous Harry Styles) is eternal, I think my love for this perfume is much greater- how is that possible? The fruity and light smell is really fresh and I have received lots of compliments when I have been wearing this perfume- which is a bonus!
Book- Uglies (By Scott Westerfield)
I was recommended this book by a friend and it has not been put down since. Even though I have not finished it yet, it makes the favorites list already! This action packed and thrilling book is set in a futuristic world where when you turn 16 everyone undergoes an operation to make you the governments idea of 'Pretty'. However, Tally and Shay don't like the idea of being 'pretty' and run away. So far, I have found this book to be really eye opening as we are pressured by society in to becoming their idea of being pretty, when actually nothing is pretty as we are all pretty in out own unique and exciting ways. This book is full of cliffhangers which has dramatic outcomes, I just can't wait to finish it and find out what really happens to Tally and Shay on their adventures together.

In the month of February I want to concentrate more on my school work as I have fallen behind quite a bit in January and need to catch up- so this will be my goal for this month:)
